Legal
Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of Radar.
Effective July 4, 2026 / Last updated July 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "your") and the operators of Radar ("Radar", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Radar platform, including the Radar Discord bot, the website at https://radarsys.xyz (the "Website"), the dashboard and admin console, the associated API, and any related features, services, and documentation (together, the "Service").
By adding Radar to a Discord server, signing in to the dashboard, or otherwise using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of a Discord server or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that server or organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you and that entity.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms in full. These Terms apply to every user of the Service, including server managers who configure Radar, dashboard users, and any individual whose Discord identity is processed because they are present in a server where Radar is installed.
2. Modification of terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms;
- Post the revised Terms on the Website; and
- Where appropriate, give additional notice through the Radar support server or another channel.
Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, your only remedy is to stop using the Service.
3. Description of the Service
Radar is a Discord security and moderation platform with a companion website and dashboard. It helps communities stay protected whether or not staff are online. The Service includes the following components and modules, some of which are optional and disabled until a server manager turns them on:
- Anti-Nuke. Detects and limits mass destructive actions such as bulk bans, kicks, channel deletions, and role changes, and can restrict or remove offending actors.
- Anti-Raid. Watches for coordinated join surges and enforces configured actions based on join rate, account age, and bot filtering.
- Automod. Screens messages in real time against filters you configure (links, invites, banned words, spam, and similar) and applies your chosen action.
- Verification. Requires new members to pass a captcha challenge before gaining access.
- Logging. Posts structured security and moderation events to a channel you designate, and records dashboard changes in an audit log.
- Radar Safeguard. An optional module that screens members against Roblox risk signals, described in section 8.
- Moderation tools. Commands for banning, kicking, timing out, purging, locking and hiding channels, and managing roles and nicknames.
- Dashboard and admin console. Web interfaces for configuring the Service, reviewing audit history, managing Premium, and, for authorized staff, administering platform-level settings.
- Network blacklist. A cross-server blacklist of accounts that present a serious threat, described in section 9.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or module at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
4. Eligibility
4.1 Age. You must be at least 13 years old, and at least the minimum age required to use Discord in your country. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4.2 Discord account. Use of the Service requires an active Discord account. Some optional modules may involve a linked account on another platform (such as Roblox), but such linking is not required to use the core Service. Suspension or termination of your Discord account also ends your access to the Service.
4.3 Compliance. You represent that your use of the Service does not violate any law applicable to you, and that you are not barred from receiving the Service under any applicable sanctions or export-control law.
5. Accounts and authentication
5.1 OAuth. The dashboard authenticates you through Discord's OAuth 2.0 authorization, using the identify, guilds, and connections scopes. We never ask for or receive your Discord password. By authorizing Radar you permit us to receive and store the information described in the Privacy Policy and to make scoped API calls to Discord on your behalf.
5.2 Security. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Discord account and for all activity under your session. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to the Service through your identity.
5.3 Sessions. Sessions are issued as tokens with a maximum lifetime of seven (7) days. You are responsible for signing out of shared or public devices.
5.4 Accuracy and single identity. You represent that the accounts you use to authenticate belong to you. You may not authenticate with another person's account, or use alternate accounts to evade restrictions, bans, or network blacklist entries.
6. Server manager responsibilities
6.1 Configuration authority. Server managers are solely responsible for every configuration choice they make, including which modules are enabled, the actions those modules take, role and channel assignments, and exemption lists. By installing and configuring Radar you represent that you have authority to do so for that server.
6.2 Member notice. You are responsible for informing your members that Radar may screen members and process certain identifiers, and for obtaining any consent your local law requires.
6.3 Discord compliance. You must ensure your use of the Service complies with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Developer Policy. We are not responsible for action Discord takes against you or your server for non-compliant use.
6.4 Data responsibility. Event logs posted to your channels and nickname changes visible to members are disclosures of information you have chosen to make. With respect to information you display or retain within your server, you act as an independent controller and are responsible for that handling.
7. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purpose, or to harass, stalk, threaten, defame, or dox any person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, our systems, our data, or the configuration or data of any other server or user, or read, alter, or delete resources that do not belong to you.
- Disrupt, degrade, or interfere with the Service, including by transmitting malware, conducting denial-of-service attacks, or flooding our endpoints.
- Use bots, scrapers, or crawlers to harvest data from the Service except through authorized, documented API access.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent verification, screening, rate limiting, or other security controls, including through alternate accounts or manipulated OAuth flows.
- Deliberately trigger, script around, or attempt to bypass rate limits. Repeatedly hitting rate-limit responses constitutes intentional abuse of our infrastructure and may result in automated enforcement, including access bans, without prior notice.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code or non-public data from the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.
- Provide false or misleading information, or use the Service in violation of any applicable sanctions or export-control law.
8. Radar Safeguard
Safeguard is an optional module that helps identify members who may pose a risk to communities with younger audiences. When a server manager enables it, Safeguard may:
- Resolve a member's linked Roblox account through third-party lookup services or a member's own linked Discord connection;
- Review public Roblox group memberships and related public signals against known risk indicators; and
- Assign a risk score used to alert, quarantine, review, or remove the member, according to the server manager's settings.
8.1 Signals, not determinations. Safeguard relies on public data and third-party lookups that may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. A risk score is a signal, not a determination of fact about any person, and false positives and false negatives can occur.
8.2 Your choices. The server manager chooses whether Safeguard acts automatically or only flags members for human review, and is responsible for handling appeals from affected members fairly.
8.3 Limits on use. You must not use Safeguard to harass or defame any individual, to build or publish a dossier on any individual, or in any way that violates applicable law. We are not liable for actions you take, or choose to automate, in reliance on a Safeguard signal.
9. Network blacklist
Radar maintains a network-wide blacklist of accounts that have abused the Service or presented a serious cross-community threat. A blacklisted account may be prevented from using Radar in any server. Entries are created and removed at our discretion following review. This list is controlled solely by Radar's founders. It cannot be edited through any command, the dashboard, or the database, and no server manager can add to or read from it. If your account is blacklisted and you believe it was in error, you may contact us to request review.
10. Premium and billing
Radar Premium and Premium+ are optional paid subscriptions billed through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the applicable fee to your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled beforehand.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew after that.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated.
- Price changes. We may change pricing; changes apply to future billing periods, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
- Payment data. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on Radar's servers. We retain only a subscription status and related identifiers.
- Taxes. Fees are exclusive of any taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable.
11. Intellectual property
11.1 Ownership. The Service, including the Radar name, logo, website, dashboard, and underlying software, is owned by Radar and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership interest to you.
11.2 Licence. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. This licence ends automatically on any breach.
11.3 Feedback. If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free right to use it without obligation to you.
11.4 Your content. You retain all rights in the configuration and data belonging to your server. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content only as needed to provide the Service.
12. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, and you acknowledge that:
- We do not control Discord, Roblox, Roblox-linking providers, or Stripe, and we are not responsible for their availability, functionality, policies, or downtime.
- Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Changes to a third party's API or policies may affect the Service, and we are not liable for any resulting disruption.
- Radar is an independent integration and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Discord Inc., Roblox Corporation, or any other third party.
13. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, including for maintenance or updates. Where practicable we will give notice of planned downtime through the support server. Beta or experimental features are provided without warranty and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where a specific activity requires your consent, such as authenticating through Discord OAuth, that consent is obtained by your affirmative action at the time of the activity, not merely by visiting the Website.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will detect or prevent any particular threat. Radar's security, screening, and enforcement systems are designed to reduce, not eliminate, risk. You should not rely on the Service as your only access-control measure. You use the Service at your own risk to the fullest extent permitted by law.
16. Limitation of liability
16.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Radar and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or server standing, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service, under any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility.
16.2 To the extent we are found liable despite the above, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the six (6) months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
16.3 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Radar and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your configuration of a server, your violation of these Terms or any law, your violation of any third-party right, or any dispute between you and another user. We may assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.
18. Termination
18.1 By you. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing Radar from your server, and you may request deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
18.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate access, in whole or in part, at any time, including for breach of these Terms, abusive or harmful conduct, repeated abuse of rate-limiting or security controls, legal requirement, extended inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service, with or without notice where the circumstances warrant.
18.3 Effect. On termination, your licences end and you must stop using the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including sections 11, 15, 16, 17, 19, and 21, will survive.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operators of Radar are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
20. Dispute resolution
20.1 Informal resolution. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us first and give us a reasonable period, not less than thirty (30) days, to resolve the dispute informally.
20.2 Individual claims. To the extent permitted by law, you and Radar agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis, and each waives any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative proceeding. Either party may still seek emergency injunctive relief to prevent irreparable harm.
21. General provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Radar regarding the Service and supersede any prior understanding.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of third-party services such as Discord, Roblox, or Stripe.
- Headings and language. Headings are for convenience only. These Terms are written in English, which controls in the event of any translation conflict.
